But it’s okay because otherwise I would never really leave the house. As a writer most of my time is spent indoors, and during the winter months it’s spent in doors in front of the wood fire so it’s worthwhile for me to get my butt outside on occasion to get firewood
But today is especially cold so I have to extra layer up to get out the house. Thermostat on the truck says minus 27 but weather network says it’s minus 36 and because I’m a human and not a robot, I feel the ‘feels like minus 36.’
On the plus side, wood getting today includes the help of a 23,000lb John Deere Track Hoe. The thing is lifting the dead fall trees from the ground and holding them up to be chain sawed into fireplace bits and bites.
Definitely the easiest time I’ve ever had while getting firewood.
And I am already looking forward to going home, and doing some writing on my couch.
