They say becoming an author takes three things;
an imagination
a dedication
and inspiration.
Or was it socialization?
Anyway; imagination can be taught, pushed to the limit and beyond. Careful though, I warn you once your imagination goes that far, scaring yourself in the dark is much easier!
As for the second in the list, it takes only a moment a day to make anything a dedication. Of course there’s times I want to make an excuse to do something else, I am a writer after all (see procrastination memes)
Inspiration is everywhere and in everything but if the third is socialization, Welp, I am a writer- recluse- and there’s plenty memes for that too.
Back to the dedication though, which is really what this post is about.
Did you know it takes doing something only 15 mins a day every day to be automatically better at that thing than someone else (assuming that other person is not putting dedicated time into the exact same thing you are for 15 minutes a day.)
Look at it this way.
If you ran 15 minutes a day, you’d definitely be a better runner and faster than me, so you’d be automatically better at running than me, maybe not so if compared to an Olympic runner (assuming you’re not an Olympic runner) but me who doesn’t run daily, plus most of my friends that also don’t run daily!
So if you want it in your life, make it a dedication and it’s yours.
Stay imagining,
NR
