why do writers feel the need to do a million other things while trying to write that sentence

well, because its very hard, mentally taxing work, its like trying to use the touch pad on a laptop for digital art. tedious, treacherous, like forcing toothpaste back into the tube.

so my theory is, its so mentally draining that us writers need a million other things to do to distract the mental load between every chapter written, sometimes between every paragraph, sometimes between every sentence.

yet, somehow the words still get on paper, and maybe thats because as writers, our hobby is typing, therefore our typing speeds get high enough to annoy the average office worker, or impress them (although i’m sure they only speak up because its annoyance)

i use a computer at work all day then come home and rush about the house to do my nightly chores before settling in front of the keyboard once more.

but thats when the distractions kick in, i want to change the laundry, check facebook, text a friend. i want to do all the things other than write, but truly all i want to do is write!

or maybe it has to do with my attention span

I’m also easily distracted by different projects, there’s always a new writing contest or pod cast to listen to!

anywho, thats the limit for what i want to write on this project, back to something else.
