I stared at this creature on a girls market table across for mine the better part of a Saturday afternoon. Once I sold fifteen books, I stood and walked the concrete stretch and purchased said creature for $90.
Sure it was a pretty penny, but I do love seeing young people trying their hands at arts and selling their fares at markets!
But also this creature stared at me with a face that felt oddly familiar. It took me another few days to remember it was from a character in the OG she Ra, the one with the hat down over her eyes but you can see her eyes above the hat.
Then my son came for a visit and said it looked like a Cthulhu, which I never knew of this creature! Sure I’ve seen its image but then I got to read the lore and my goodness, I am ever so much more happy to have bought this crochet creature.
Keep curious,
Norma Rrae
PS this is me thrifting and trying to decide if I should buy a $300 mink fur jacket with sleeves way too short for my Amazonian ass
