Reoccurring weekly, I have a reminder that pops up on my phone telling me to write a blog post. Sometimes I seek out my laptop, turn it on, type one up, complete grammarly check, add nice photo, increase font size, make sure formatting looks okay and hit that infamous PUBLISH button.

But more often than doing all that, I simple hit ignore on the reminder. And it falls in line with the twenty or so other reminders to do things. Sometimes important things that I’m like- uh just not today. Important but not super important, you know, like calling and changing credit limit on credit card, type of thing. Important but not super important.

The super important stuff gets done immediately. Like editing my novel, writing poetry for contests, short stories for contests, note taking future novels, you know- the super important stuff!

So tonight, when my reminder popped up and I eye rolled myself, I caved and came to the app. Maybe I can type up a quick blog post there, I thought to myself. And here I am, just rambling, for your Saturday night pleasure.

Happy evening,

Norma Rrae

  1. This has to be a thing… so I won’t be setting any reminders in the future. If I am not naturally inspired, at least I won’t feel guilty about it!
