Do you believe in fate/destiny?
In my mind these are all just as magical as the next. Are they real? Are they made for us or made by us? Who can know for sure, but to believe in something is magical.
That’s why there’s religion.
That’s why there’s huge gatherings of like minded people for peaceful protests or DnD nights, because people as a whole love to believe in something.
Just like love. It’s not measurable, tangible or touchable but hundreds of millions of people believe in the power of love.
I believe in fate.
I do not believe in destiny.
Or maybe they’re really the same thing deep down but destiny means you’re predetermined to have to do something, I believe everything has possibilities, outcomes and differences that it’s impossible for everything to be pre planned. And if it is, then maybe that’s the proof so many have sought for a God, because what else could set out a concrete path for each and every person to walk and full well knowing which choice they will make in the infinite number of possibilities presented to them.
I believe in karma. But I don’t think it works how most this does. Of course, there is the rare instances of one situation closely following another, such as breaking someone’s heart and then you breaking your face. But that’s even more rare, since we all know all too often bad guys get away with horrible things all the time and they pay no karmic price throughout their life.
That’s where my next word that rhymes with fate, destiny and karma comes in. Rebirth.
I believe in rebirth for many reasons that I’m not going to get into here, but one reason is, it just sits right with me. And makes sense with karma then, that if you live your life as a selfish hurtful person, you’ll be reborn as a cock roach.
So make choices for the greater good of good. Maybe not always the right choice for all but the choice that comes from a place of love and respect and truth. And above all, if it’s negative, it should be banished.
